As a $200M, omnichannel disruptor brand in a hyper-saturated apparel category - premium essentials - BYLT has to move fast to keep pace with its explosive growth and maintain an edge against competitors. But BYLT's tech stack—powered by an out-of-the-box data orchestrator and a complex CMS—presented a host of problems, including site instability, deployment delays and data tracking limitations. Tired of being handicapped rather than aided by technology, BYLT’s ecommerce team turned to Coldsmoke for help.

How we did it
Discovery
On top of dealing with the day to day pain points of their tech stack, BYLT was facing a couple looming deadlines: their upcoming annual Anniversary Sale, and the biggest shopping season of the year - BFCM. Short-term, being able to quickly make site changes internally and set up customized event tracking was at the top of the ecommerce team’s wishlist for maximizing these revenue-generating opportunities. But they also wanted to position themselves for long-term success with best-in-class tech partners.
Deliverables
First, Coldsmoke spearheaded a migration to Pack's robust, user-friendly digital experience platform. This move allowed the BYLT team to tap into the power of Hydrogen — Shopify's new framework for developing custom storefronts — and Oxygen — Shopify’s global hosting solution. Next, tech partner Fueled managed the integration and implementation to their platform, moving analytics pixels and third-party app scripts over to Hydrogen and providing BYLT with custom attribution events and granular data tracking across their entire site. The bulk of this work happened in just 90 days.
