This Privacy Policy describes how Coldsmoke, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Price Alert application ("the App") through Shopify stores.

## 1. Information We Collect

### Information from Shoppers
When a shopper creates a price alert on a merchant's store, we collect:
- **Email address** - To notify you when the product reaches your target price
- **Target price** - The price at which you want to be notified
- **Product information** - Which product and variant you're interested in

### Information from Merchants
When a merchant installs the App, we access:
- **Store information** - Store name and domain (provided by Shopify)
- **Product data** - Product titles, prices, and images (to display in the App dashboard and emails)
- **Customer data** - Limited customer information for merchants who use the enriched export feature (order count, location, customer tags)
- **Order data** - To track conversions when shoppers use discount codes created through the App

## 2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:
- Send price drop notification emails to shoppers when products reach their target price
- Send targeted offer emails on behalf of merchants (with discount codes)
- Provide merchants with analytics about price alert activity and conversions
- Generate export reports for merchants to analyze customer engagement
- Improve and maintain the App

## 3. Information Sharing

We share information with:

### Service Providers
- **Shopify** - The App operates on Shopify's platform and uses Shopify's APIs
- **Resend** - Our email delivery provider, used to send notification emails

### Merchants
Merchants who install the App can view:
- Email addresses of shoppers who created alerts on their store
- Alert activity, target prices, and conversion data
- Customer analytics through export features

We do **not** sell personal information to third parties.

## 4. Data Retention

- **Price alert data** is retained until the alert is triggered or the shopper requests deletion
- **Conversion data** is retained for the merchant's analytics purposes
- Merchants can export and delete data through the App dashboard

## 5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including:
- Secure data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel
- Regular security reviews

## 6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- **Access** the personal information we hold about you
- **Correct** inaccurate personal information
- **Delete** your personal information
- **Object** to processing of your personal information
- **Data portability** - receive your data in a structured format

### For Shoppers
To exercise these rights, contact the merchant whose store you created the alert on, or contact us directly at the email below.

### For Merchants
You can access, export, and delete data through the App dashboard. To delete all App data, uninstall the App from your Shopify store.

## 7. GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA):
- We process data based on legitimate interests (providing the service) and consent (when shoppers submit their email)
- You have the rights listed in Section 6 above
- You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

## 8. CCPA Compliance

For California residents:
- We do not sell personal information
- You have the right to know what personal information we collect and request deletion
- Contact us using the information below to exercise these rights

## 9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
