Masters of hype, Bodega enjoys a reputation for unique and memorable in-person experiences. Yet the streetwear and sneaker brand’s website was on inefficient code, bloated with apps and prone to crash during high-profile drops. Online shoppers were experiencing off-putting brand experiences compared to their physical retail locations – creating a perfect storm of easy brand abandonment.

Our Goal

An exceptionally smooth site experience that could handle the traffic spikes of a zeitgeisty brand.

Our Results

  • Immediate 40% IMPROVEMENT in conversion rates

  • Perfect replication of existing theme REBUILT FROM SCRATCH

  • Propietary solution for APP DEMANDS

How we did it

Discovery

Bodega’s site had been updated by a series of freelancers, none of whom could thoroughly update the site to the extent it was necessary. By the time we got our eyes on it, the issues had compounded over time. At a code level it was now out of sync with Shopify’s own updates. Inefficiencies, unoptimized assets, and a glut of unused applications led to poor experiences, load times and conversion rates.

What they said:

“I find that Coldsmoke has a genuine passion for what they do and they care about the work they put in. They are driven by results and it shows in their approach to taking on projects and seeing them through.”
